With a month up our sleeves to spend in SE Asia, we chose Cambodia and a quick trip to Thailand. Phnom Penh was an incredible assault to the senses and we all loved it. We soon learnt how to dodge tuk tuks and mopeds, how to bargain for food at the markets and quickly became hooked on Cambodian coffee. Then there were the tough days, the visits to The Killing Fields and museums. It was a lot to absorb. Out in the country we had ruins to explore and elephants to feed. There is nothing so incredible as the look of pure joy on your children’s faces as they get to feed an elephant.
